New features and upgrades!

We want to be clear about what we want to do here. So if the Kickstarter goes well (fingers crossed) we have some things we will put on offer for the community. Some of these, truthfully, we are going to work on anyhow, but other, more important features we can’t do anything about without funding.

Over the coming month or two you will see a few changes to the site, and we will be looking to you for help! We want to make this the place for you to get your role playing fix, and to that end we want to make your experience here fun. We will be counting on you for feedback on everything so we can grow this into a community that you all come to love as much as we do!

But really, this is about role playing. Check out the rules intro here to get started. We think you are going to love Act Ten. We will have our first setting, titled Division, up soon. This setting will be complete in and of itself, being a dystopian sci-fi game set after the collapse of world governments and the rise of corporate power. The setting blends technology, magic and myth, telling the tale of a world turned upside down. But that is only the beginning! This setting will open up to others over time, giving you a fluid way to switch genres on the fly.

This site has a range of social features that should make your experience here even better! If you will notice, we set the site up so you have all your social features to your left and all your game material above and to your right. [/wptabcontent][wptabtitle] The next step[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]As I’m sure you’ve noticed, we have few bugs to work out. The big one right now is site speed. But there are other things that need attention too. We hope you see the same potential we do in this site and this game. And if you do, we want to ask for your help. Spread the word! you have a Kickstarter launching for our first book soon. If you like what you see here on the site so far, tell your friends. You have everything here to run games right now if you wanted, so take the rules for a spin.

But in the mean time, enjoy the site, we will be adding content constantly to make this the best table top role playing game possible, and if we hit our Kickstarter goal, we will double down on our commitment to add new content and features![/wptabcontent]

[wptabtitle] Site speed[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]We have a lot of content on the site right now, both back and front end. We need to get people on board that can help with that. Our first step which will be immediate is moving over to a virtual private server. That will be a big shot in the arm, but a VPS isn’t cheap either.[/wptabcontent]

[wptabtitle] More art[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]We want to get more art on the site. We don’t think it looks bland right now, but getting more art, such as comics, icons and stills of the game world will help make the site more fun for everyone.[/wptabcontent]

[wptabtitle] Integrated chat[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]We have looked over some options to integrate chat features, with things like dice rolling into the site. But between development and speed issues we can’t make it a reality right now (trust me I tried).[/wptabcontent]

[wptabtitle] Division setting[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]This will be our primary setting, or Channel. We want to add everything you need to get around from maps and Extras (NPC’s) to concept art and Episodes (scenarios). We will also be adding in special FX and other great content.  This will also act as the launching grounds for other Channels. Channels the community will vote on! Though this is a smaller Channel than others we have in the works, it will still take development time to make it function as well as the core rules do.[/wptabcontent]

[wptabtitle] Game apps[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]We have a dice roller in the works for pc, android and tablets. But we want more. I have talked to developers about what I call tablet top role playing. In the future, we want to build a set of applications that give you the power to run games from your phones, tablets and laptops. We want to tie them to the site, specifically your account, so you can access Act Ten whenever, wherever. I wrote an article about this here, but you get the idea.[/wptabcontent]

As you can see we are trying to reach a whole lot. I am a gamer myself, and I want these tools to be a reality. With your help, together we can make that happen! We may be reaching to high here, but I believe we can change the game.
